The Role of Distributed Energy Resources in Today's Grid Transition

Electricity grids across the nation are undergoing a rapid transition due in part to accelerating adoption of renewable energy by utilities and distributed energy resources (DER) by customers. Utilities and their regulators are increasingly asking the question: do DER complement or frustrate this grid transition?

Gridworks, GridLab, and Utah Clean Energy collaborated to release a report summarizing how DER are increasingly seen by utilities and policymakers are a complement to evolving grid needs. The purpose of this paper is to orient policy makers to DER and their growing role in providing safe, affordable, and reliable service.

Participate in a October 5th webinar introducing and discussing the paper.
